With so many Americans falling into debt, there are now companies out there that help you work through your debts. National Debt Solutions is one of those companies that claim to help you take control of your debts so that you will not ruin your credit score.
National Debt Solutions offers services to almost every one. Bad credit is not an issue when it comes to using their services and there is no obligation to sign up. They offer a free consultation to discuss with you the options that you have available to you. You can do this one of two ways, call in to talk about your situation or fill out the online form and await their call.
Once you have your consultation, a professional will create a plan that appears suitable for you and your needs. They collect information about your budget and produce a plan to pay off your debts over time. Then, once the plan is agreed upon, they begin to ask your creditors to lower your account balances. Their homepage says that the goal of the company is to have your debt under control within three years.
The site provides you with all of the basic information you need about the options that could pursue:
debt settlement

bankruptcy
,
debt consolidation loans
,
credit counseling
or do nothing. They then give brief explanations about the typical debtor experience with each choice.
This company also has customer testimonials on their site that tell about some of the amazing settlements that they have been able to negotiate. However, they are not accredited by the Better Business Bureau (
D Rating as of June 26, 2011
). If you look into using this company, just be sure to do your research and compare the goals and prices they set for you to other similar companies.
Note: The explanations that National Debt Solutions provide about the options that they do not actually offer (all except debt settlement) are misleading and false. Before doing business with that or any other debt settlement company, make sure that you verify their reputation with the BBB (
D rating
) and the office of the Attorney General for Texas and your state. Due to the misrepresentations on their website, recent regulatory actions against most prominent members of the for-profit debt settlement industry and the negative rating by the BBB, you are strongly encouraged to avoid National Debt Solutions to avoid getting ripped off.
